Privacy policy

Summary

chessbase.si does not ask for an account, does not use tracking cookies and does not sell data. This page will be updated before we add accounts or analytics.

What we store

• Your theme choice (light or dark), saved in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
• Games you choose to share. Analysis runs in your browser and is not sent to us. Only when you tap “Share this analysis” do we store the game's moves (PGN), including the player names and other details in it, so the link works. Shared links are public to anyone who has them and are not listed in search engines. To have a shared game deleted, email us the link.
• Server logs kept by our hosting provider, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used only to keep the site secure and working, and are deleted on the provider's normal schedule.

Cookies

We do not set any cookies at the moment, so there is no cookie banner. If that changes, we will ask first.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask what data we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and complain to a data protection authority. In Slovenia that is the Information Commissioner (Informacijski pooblaščenec).
